No, and Estonia is the clearest case of the three. Estonian belongs to the Finno-Ugric family alongside Finnish, with no relationship at all to Latvian or Lithuanian — those two are Baltic languages, related to each other and still not mutually intelligible. Treating the region as one market produces a recording in the wrong language for two of the three countries. We cover all three and keep the terminology aligned.

They are related and share a good deal of structure and vocabulary, and Estonians often follow some Finnish. But they are separate languages with substantial differences in pronunciation and everyday words, and Finnish speakers generally find Estonian harder than the reverse. A Finnish voice is not a substitute for an Estonian one.

Roughly a quarter of the population speaks Russian at home, concentrated in Tallinn and around Narva in the north-east, where the proportion is far higher. Public-sector and regulated content has to be in Estonian; commercial campaigns aiming at the whole country usually record both. If the script is not signed off yet, send the draft anyway — we would rather quote on what exists than wait for a version that eats your deadline. A named project manager comes back with an itemised quote, normally within four working hours.

More than half of enquiries get a reply within thirty minutes during office hours (Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm UK time), and the itemised quote normally follows within four working hours.
