About GoLocalise
The team behind the voices
London-based, global by design. GoLocalise is an audiovisual localisation agency and recording studio, connecting you with professional voice talent, linguists and vetted studios around the world — voice over, dubbing, ADR, translation, subtitling and transcription, managed from start to finish.
Our story
GoLocalise began with a love of languages. Founder David Garcia-Gonzalez grew up in Gijón, in northern Spain, and moved to the UK in the mid-1990s — drawn by a fascination with languages, communication and a good adventure.
He studied linguistics, languages and computing at Essex University, then translation at London Metropolitan University, before a Masters in Audiovisual Translation — dubbing, subtitling and localisation — finally clicked. It was the first thing he'd chosen to study purely because he loved it, and it pointed straight at what he wanted to do.
In 2008 he decided to go it alone and founded GoLocalise as a one-stop shop for translation and localisation. From day one the goal was simple: stand out by delivering reliable, consistent quality every single time. More than 15 years on, that's still exactly what drives us — now with over 1,000 professional voice actors, 100+ languages and our own Central-London studios, trusted by global brands.

The people behind the work
GoLocalise is a close-knit team of project managers, native-speaking directors and sound engineers, backed by a global network of over 1,000 professional voice actors and native linguists.
You won't be passed around. Each project has a dedicated project manager who owns it from brief to final file — coordinating casting, studio time, translation and revisions so you don't have to. It's the difference between a booking platform and a production partner.
Founded by David Garcia-Gonzalez
GoLocalise was founded by David Garcia-Gonzalez, a bilingual entrepreneur who is, in his own words, “in love with languages and communication.” Born in Gijón, Spain and based in London, he built the agency in 2008 around a belief that great localisation is a human craft — delivered with reliable, consistent quality.
David knows the work from the inside: he spent over 20 years as a translator and Spanish-language voice over artist, lending his voice to brands including Paco Rabanne, Puma, Adidas and The Discovery Channel — and even the TV commercial for the Amazon Echo. He's also an award-winning entrepreneur and #1 Amazon best-selling author (Chancing Your Arm: How I Made it Big in Britain).
“Trust your intuition and success will follow.”

Beyond GoLocalise, David is a #1 Amazon best-selling author and an international business coach. His autobiography is a candid, witty and unflinchingly honest account of building a company in a foreign country against the odds — the setbacks, the scars and the hard-won lessons behind the journey.
He now mentors other entrepreneurs and company owners too, helping them grow with confidence and build a business — and a life — they genuinely love. He has been featured on the BBC and speaks on languages, communication and entrepreneurship, guided by the same belief that built GoLocalise: trust your intuition, do the work, and chance your arm.

Real studios, real people
We record in our own acoustically treated studios in Central London, using high-end Neumann microphones and on-hand sound engineers. Attend your session in person, or direct it live from anywhere in the world.
It's this combination — professional facilities, native direction and an experienced in-house team — that lets us deliver broadcast-quality audio and localisation, consistently, at pace.
Common questions about GoLocalise
What languages do you work in?
We work in 100+ languages and regional varieties — from Spanish, French, German, Mandarin and Arabic to smaller, harder-to-source languages — always with native speakers cast and directed in-house, so terminology, register and accent match the market rather than reading like a translation. Not sure which variety you need (European vs Latin American Spanish, Mandarin vs Cantonese, Brazilian vs European Portuguese)? Tell us the target market and we'll confirm the right one. You can browse the full table of languages and services.
Do you have your own recording studios?
Yes — two central-London recording studios in Stockwell, custom-built with Neumann microphones, Pro Tools HD and in-house sound engineers. You can attend your session in person or direct it live from anywhere via Source Connect. Owning our recording studios means we control quality end to end and turn projects around fast, rather than booking third-party rooms — and for other territories we connect you to a vetted global network of studios and talent.
How quickly can you deliver?
Most voice over projects are delivered within 24–48 hours of sign-off, and short documents or subtitle files often the same day. Turnaround depends on volume, languages and complexity, but fast delivery is one of the things clients thank us for most — tell us your deadline and we'll build the schedule around it. If it's genuinely urgent, say so when you enquire and we'll flag rush options.
How do I get a quote, and how much does it cost?
Send your script, brief or files and a dedicated project manager comes back with an itemised, no-obligation quote — usually the same working day. Quotes are free and backed by our Price Match Promise: find a like-for-like price lower and we'll match it. Still pitching and haven't signed off budget? Tell us and we'll give you a figure you can put in front of your own client. Get a quote, or call +44 207 095 5730.
What services does GoLocalise offer?
Everything for audiovisual localisation, under one roof in London: voice over, dubbing and ADR; subtitling, closed captioning and SDH; audiovisual translation and transcription — all in 100+ languages. Because one team runs the whole chain to a single shared glossary, a product name or key line reads the same whether it's heard or read, and you deal with one project manager from script to final delivery.
How much does localisation actually cost?
We publish our rates rather than hiding them behind a form. Subtitling £15–£20 per minute depending on language, transcription £8–£10 per minute, translation £0.145–£0.25 per source word, and dubbing £60–£180 per finished minute. Voice over is quoted as a Basic Studio Fee plus usage, because what a recording costs depends on where it runs and for how long. Those figures are a guide, not a quote: send the actual file and an itemised figure comes back from a person. See the full rate card or get a quote.
Can I book your London studio for my own session?
Yes. Our two Stockwell studios can be booked for your own recording, and the Basic Studio Fee starts at £400 per studio hour, with usage quoted separately. Each booth has Neumann microphones, Pro Tools HD and a sound engineer on hand, client seating so you can direct in the room, and Source Connect, Zoom or Teams if you would rather direct from your desk. Tell us the date and the session length and we will confirm availability — see the studios or call +44 207 095 5730.
Can you translate and voice a corporate video into 20 languages?
Yes, and it is one of the things we do most. One project manager runs the whole set: translation and adaptation to a shared glossary so the product names stay fixed, native voice talent cast per market, recording in our own London booths or through our vetted global network, and every language delivered to the same spec on the same schedule. You approve the voices before anything is recorded. Send the script and the language list for an itemised quote.
What is a voice over usage fee or buyout?
The studio fee pays for the recording; the usage fee pays for the right to run it — and it is priced by media, territory and licence term, which is why a single figure for a voice over can be misleading. Internal and e-learning use is normally the cheapest; TV, cinema, radio and games cost more and we quote those per project rather than from a table. Work out a figure yourself with the usage fee calculator, and we will confirm it against the actual brief.
Do you work with production companies and agencies?
Yes — a large share of our work comes through production companies, creative agencies and post houses who need a campaign versioned for several markets and do not want to coordinate four suppliers to do it. You keep the client relationship; we take the master and hand back every language to your spec, on your deadline. We are used to broadcaster and platform delivery requirements, so files come back compliant rather than rejected.
What exactly do you deliver at the end?
It depends on the service, and we say so plainly: voice over — an audio file; translation — a translated document (Word, Excel or whatever you sent); subtitling — an SRT or another subtitle file, which is a text file; transcription — a timed or untimed transcription. Tell us the format your platform or broadcaster needs and we deliver to that spec, including burnt-in subtitles, M&E stems or split audio tracks where the job calls for it.
Is my material kept confidential?
Yes. Files are handled on encrypted transfer, we sign your NDA — or provide ours — before anything is sent, and source material is deleted on delivery unless you ask us to retain it for a follow-up version. Unreleased campaigns, embargoed announcements and pre-broadcast programming are routine here, and the team is briefed accordingly.
