Why GoLocalise
One partner for every European market
Rolling a campaign, series or course out across Europe usually means juggling a different supplier in every country. We do the opposite: one team, one project manager and one consistent standard across French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Scandinavian and every other European language — so your brand sounds the same wherever it plays.
You brief us in English, once. We handle the native voice casting, translation, studio direction and delivery specs for each market, and hand back broadcast-ready files that meet the local expectations of each audience — and the EU rules that increasingly govern them.
Localised for each European market
Every market has its own habits — dubbing vs subtitling, the right dialect, local expectations. Here's how we approach the big ones.
Germany (DACH)
A strong dubbing market: German audiences expect professional, lip-synced dubs, and Standard German (Hochdeutsch) covers Germany, Austria and Switzerland with local nuances on request.
Explore Germany voices →Spain
Spain uses Castilian (European) Spanish, which is distinct from Latin American — a difference audiences notice instantly. Spain also has a deep dubbing tradition for film and TV.
Explore Spain voices →Netherlands
A subtitling culture: Dutch viewers prefer original audio with subtitles and reserve dubbing mostly for children's content — so accurate, well-timed Dutch subtitles matter more here than a dub.
Explore Netherlands voices →Italy
One of Europe's great dubbing nations, with a celebrated voice-acting tradition. Italian audiences have high expectations of dubbing craft and performance, not just accuracy.
Explore Italy voices →France
A dubbing market with European, Belgian, Swiss and Canadian French to choose from — pick the variant that matches your audience, and expect polished, performed reads.
Explore France voices →Poland
Historically a 'lektor' (single-voice narration) market for TV, now increasingly full dubbing and subtitling for streaming — we cover all three approaches with native Polish talent.

European accessibility, built into the job
Since 28 June 2025 the European Accessibility Act (EAA) has required a wide range of digital products and services sold in the EU — from streaming and e-commerce to banking and e-books — to be accessible. For audiovisual content that increasingly means accurate captions, subtitles and audio description, not as an afterthought but as a delivery requirement.
The Audiovisual Media Services Directive (AVMSD) already pushes broadcasters and on-demand platforms to make content continuously more accessible through subtitling, audio description and sign language, alongside European-works obligations on VOD catalogues. We produce to these standards as a matter of course — SDH and closed captions, described video, and correctly formatted subtitle files — so your European release is compliant as well as polished.
None of this is legal advice, and requirements vary by service and member state — but it is exactly the kind of detail we build into a European deliverable so it doesn't come back to bite you at QC.
