Frame rate
Frame rate is how many frames of picture there are per second, and it is the grid a subtitle file’s timings are locked to. The same file played at 23.976 and at 25 frames per second drifts progressively out of sync.
Confirm the frame rate of the exact master the subtitles will play against, not of the edit they were made from.
