Fansub
A fansub is an unofficial subtitle track made by fans rather than by the rights holder. It is not a licensed deliverable and is not cleared for distribution.
Worth naming because fansub conventions — translator’s notes on screen, honorifics left untranslated, karaoke-styled opening credits — are sometimes asked for on licensed work, and most platform specifications forbid them.
