Glossary
Lip-sync dubbing
Lip-sync dubbing is dubbing in which the new dialogue is written and performed to match the mouth movements and timing of the actor on screen, so that the replacement reads as the original performance.
It is the most expensive form of dubbing, because the translation has to be rewritten to fit the mouth as well as the meaning, and every line is recorded to picture.
